Nah, I actually liked Jason's mentality. It wasn't that he died. It's just that after he died batman changed nothing. Someone he considered a father couldn't let his moral code go for one second and kill his murderer.
Tbh this is the reason why I like Ben Affleck's Batman. Even though his story leaves a lot of gaps to be filled by the audiences, it alludes to the fact that Batman let go of his code and started becoming more brutal after his son died. I find it more humanising that a vigilante constantly fighting against the worst criminals night after night would finally resort to extreme methods after his son was murdered.
@Himanshu Upadhyay but it doesn't make sense tho. Besides the fact that taking out the no kill rule just makes batman a rich version of the punisher, why are his villains still alive. Batfleck had no problem shooting down random henchmen with 50 cals or cooking them alive, but when he chases the joker and harley he just casually driving? Hell bro, if batman is killing now Why is joker still alive? He would've killed him years ago not let him go to a strip club with harley lol.
So, fun fact: In the original Killing Joke comic where Jason dies, Batman actually was going to kill Joker for what he did to Jason. It wasn't his code that stopped him. Joker, somehow, managed to become an Iranian diplomat, which made him immune to all crimes he committed. And if Batman killed him, he'd cause an international incident, with Superman having to step in to stop him.

Red Hood wasn’t mad about dying, he said it himself that he forgives Bruce for not saving him. He was pissed that, even after he died, the Joker is still alive and that Bruce did nothing to avenge him or anything.

Batman wasn't angry because he damaged the suit, tho I know it was a joke. He was angry because the Red Hood attempted a legit killing blow with intent. Red Hood showed a willingness to murder that would have worked on most.

C-4 is actually pretty chill, just never shock it. You can even cook with it if you need a fuel. So as long as red hood isn't fighting any shocking villains, he is actually relatively safe with the c4 helmet. Source is google, and my father was Army with demo training, he lost the recipe though.
Batman is rich. He looks at these kids as an investment. Dude poured time AND money into training them. So when one of them starts dropping the hammer on badguys, the opposite of what he taught them...he is going to beat your ass like you owe him money. In this scene, Red Hood just saw the bill.

When Young boy Jason Todd was stealing tires from the Batmobile and was caught by Batman and was dropped of at a reform school which turns out to be training people to become criminals after Batman rescued Jason and because of his skills he trained him to become the new Robin when Jason finds out about his long-lost mother shelia Haywood he reunites with her until Joker came along uses Sheila lures them in a warehouse beats Robin up with a crowbar his goons tied Sheila up to a pole and leaves them locked in the warehouse with a time bomb inside. By the time Batman got there the bomb exploded and killed Jason and his mom. He was heartbroken and blames himself for not saving him. Years later superboy prime punched a hole in the timestream causing the reality warp effects to bring Jason back to life he broke out of his coffin and dug out of his grave. He was badly damaged and suffers from a bad case of amnesia found by Talia and was taken to Ra’s al Ghul he pushes Jason into the Lazarus pit healing his mind body and health but also darkens his soul personality and heart. Returning to Gotham Jason finds out that Batman didn’t killed joker to avenge his death. Deciding to get revenge on joker and Batman dons a red helmet and a blade using his killer’s former identity Jason resurfaces the new killer vigilante red hood.
