The best trick for companies is to try and fool consumers into thinking the company is native to that given country to genarate more sales and it does fool a lot of consumers. I remember as a kid, a friend of mine thought Ford was a British company lol even thought it's American and the irony is that his dad bought a car based on that lol. With that, I get the impression that Americans get fooled more by this then others around the world having lived in both the EU and US and patriotism might have something to do with it which is quite extreme over there compared to a lot of other places around the world. In any case, companies like to do this because they know many goverments around the world play the buy American or buy British thing so companies go out of there way to fool consumers into thinking that company is native to that country for better sales and it seems to work quite effective from what I've seen. Anyway, the same thing seems to happen all over the world, just to a diffrent degree depending on the country you are in, in the US, it seems to happen more but that might be because overall, not that many Americans know much or travel outside the US to see the rest of the world. I'm not saying all this to be negative on Americans but I think it would benefit them if they open thier eyes to things around the world and not keep thinking the US is the center of the world.

Muricans are so completely IGNORANT it is beyond shameful. That is what you get with a nation completely dominated by the 1% rich that promotes superficiel behaviour and mindless credit spending as a virtue to control the masses . What is even more absurd, muricans that never travel are so confident that the USA is n°1, statement which is completely absurd and laughable. Watch and learn: de-vid.com/video/video-ZPHSXUS0_1c.html Actually FACTS. At least you still try to get out of this ignoramus circle, so congrats on that, maybe there is still hope.

Perfect example of non existent general knowledge in the US, and the self centered arrogance. Foreign languages are another missing topic ... Well, these are simply said too foreign for the average American to learn, and they are too lazy to even attempt a proper pronunciation. But what does one expect from a country that does not have any kind of culture (other than in a yoghurt)? For an expat living over there, she is doing super poor speaking the language ... and Germans are really anal about that.

She seems proud of, and satisfied with, her ignorance. Didn't know Hugo Boss designed Nazi uniforms. Doesn't know Bayer is German -SHEESH! Who does she think developed Zyklon-B, the gas used in the gas chambers and specially designed for the purpose? That's right, Bayer. Where the hell did she get the notion the Adidas are what she calls "American" (she means USian)? Ignorance like this should be a cause of shame, not something to make a public video about. Worst is the assumption that other people are as ill-informed as she is. Didn't she think that might cause offence?

Yeah, the "Germany builds cars"-thing is almost something like a Red Herring, because the car industry actually doesn't even make that big of a part of the German economy as a whole anymore. What even most Germans don't know is that Germany is the world's biggest producer of chemical products. Whether it is plastics, artificial fibers like nylon, beauty products or cleaning agents, about 70% of the world's mid-stage products used to produce the final product, are made in and sold by German companies. That stuff is very "behind the curtain", because companies like Nivea or Jack Wolfskin or Kraft don't write on their packaging where the oils, plastic fibers or artificial flavors they use to make their stuff come from.

Ok, Adidas and Puma I knew, they were brothers but had different views on how to succeed or something like that ... I like both of their products. You cannot destroy their shoes within 5 years. Puma and Adidas build quality sports shoes .... ( I am not connected to these companies, do NOT earn money from them, it is simply an experience as a German customer). I am convinced that this is true for American sports suppliers because the market is very strong and experiences change between sports guys.... So only quality will rule and quality is beyond things like German, Europe, USA, and so on ... ;-) Great video, thank you for that experience I wasn't aware of... (excuse my bad English ... )
