I am just surprised how americacentric Americans often are. BTW Adidas ist short for Adi Das sler. And they have both their headquarters in Herzogenaurach in Franconcia. For decades the town was split in two. People who work for Adidas and People who work for Puma. They are for all intents and purposes meant to stay in the family, where you belong. If you would understand enough German, but I think you do not, because you even can't pronounce Bayer ( the same as Buyer), there is a German semidocumentary about those brothers, and, surprise, how they worked with the Nazis.

Birkenstock and Deutsche Telekom (which is the ful name of the company) are pretty obviously German if you from the name. For Bayer think Bayer Leverkusen. Same way you know Philips is Dutch: PSV = Phillips SportVereniging. Also, Adidas wasn't technically started by two brothers. There father started Dasler Schuhe. After they broke contact, Adolf "Adi" Dasler started AdiDas, his brother Rudi didn't want to call his company RudiDas because that would be a little to obvious. He called it Puma.

Great video, we love all the products. Didn't know about DHL and wasn't sure about Puma. Really stinks they bothered Hugo Boss because of designing clothes for soldiers. Everyone wants to push others around and claim they are innocent saints. Anyway, no matter what race, color, religion or nationality I was, I'd find any way possible to become a German. One thing I definitely know for absolute 1000% sure certainty is the German Dream is way way way better and light years beyond anyone elses wildest possible imagination and the German language totally ROCKS and blows English off the planet. Los geht's Deutschland

The moment she mentioned Paris Hilton and The Simple Life, I stopped watching. People who watch this kind of shit like Keeping up with the Kardashians or whatever there is out there - these people i consider uneducated fools. That in return makes the whole video pointless as it is just some uneducated person beeing surprised about some obvious stuff...

Not a Brand oder Company, but "AMERICA". Named by the german Martin Waldseemüller in order to honor >Amerigo< Vespucci who made a "realistic" map of the world respectively researched it. Martin designed a new World Map and named the partly discovered continent (noname) in honor to the man that discovered the real proportians and messurements of that "land" in relation to the other continents and the oceans "america". (amerigo) So the interesting fact is: united states of "name sponsored by germany" = america.

The uniforms designed by Hugo Boss for SS and Wehrmacht are, truth be told: awesome. They are imitated by Hollywood to this day, most notably in the original Star Wars movies. Which makes sense because nazis are an unevitable benchmark and established symbol for fascism. Meanwhile, leftists wear Che Guevara shirts while acting like moral half-gods. (Please don't say "for the nazis". Most soldiers have not been national socialists, just soldiers.
