Who said being a farmer was easy? As the time to harvest approaches, Jeremy and Kaleb must gather up all the rape and barley they've been growing over the last year. BUT when Jeremy Clarkson is involved, things never quite go to plan do they?

When I was growing up, watching Jeremy was basically my entire childhood and I still go back to watch all his adventures. Honestly this one is by far the most entertaining and just had a way with me that I felt part of the farm. People give Jeremy a hard time based on the past but you cant condemn a man of present based on his actions of the past. The amount of respect I have for him for the sheer bravery to pick up something of this magnitude and to run with it at full speed and to succeed even by the smallest of margins and to still have the will to start again shows grit of a present day hero. All modern day farmers deserve knighthood as they are truly heroes without capes.

@David Fitz I make buying decisions based on how the food I buy is produced. Whenever possible, I buy organic. But, ironically, you have made a good point. Buyers are part of the problem. They'd rather save a few quid off their shopping bill and perpetuate an ongoing ecological disaster, and until farmers have a financial incentive to change their ways, they will go on spraying glyphosate and insecticides all over the place.

Love how this show really showed the tedious nature of farming while still being entertaining. That’s not easy. Not as difficult as farming! I was so bummed for Jeremy when all the work harvesting the Barley resulted in a bad payoff due to beer sales dropping during the COVID scare. The potatoes did make it better though, Jeremy did a great job with those! Maybe not the best business plan though 🤣

you know, you've got to hand it to jeremy. he may not go about everything in the most professional manner but he will at least give it his 100% best, honest shot. yes he makes mistakes like we all do but not all of us learn from those mistakes and keep on trying to succeed even after failures. Jeremy does and usually has from all the footage ive seen of him. the man couldve retired 10 years ago already and lived a happy wealthy life.. but he's still out here trying and doing new things with the same energy as always. whether you are a fan of Jeremy Clarkson or not, you've got to give the man his credit. He is definitely not a quitter. I dont think i could have any more respect for the man and all that he has done from the car industry to the entertainment industry, travelling the world (still), hosting and taking a huge responsibility behind the grand tour and now to the farming industry. the man has the energy and drive of a 25 year old. Respect.

@braydenpresber it's still preferred by almost all European farmers to silos, for the previously stated safety and cost reasons. Used to be silos on almost every arable farm, now they are a very rare sight indeed.
Kevin Baker
Kevin Baker Vor Monat
@Hello Kitty A silo is used for storing silage which is also known as green chop. It can be either alfalfa hay that is chopped and blown into the silo or green corn, stalks, ears and leaves. The silo keeps the chopped fodder in an Anerobic state (low or no oxygen) which retains the nutrients and prevents spoilage.

i only hope that now with this show. that attentiuon has been brought to how much of a pain it is to be a farmer, with the constant regulations. restrictions, and how many hoops they simply have to jump through just to get some basic tasks done, i hope that this will lead to mass deregulations and easing of silly restrictions that help no one at all. i hope that government releases farmers in the countryside should be prioritise over a someone else silly view from a bed room window. If a farmer wants a giant barn, let him, if a farms needs to dig up field. let him. if a farmer needs to do just about anything.... LET HIM, food production is far more important that you nice view from your bedroom. and planning permission should be on the side of the farmer, not idiots that just want a view. I was a farmer for 25 years on my father's farm and then left to work in London because there is no money in farming. Unless you inherit a farm or have a lot of money to buy a farm as an inheritance tax shelter there is no point. I know people love the Clarkson programme but it is TV. It isn't real at all. To really make money in growing cereals you need £1 million of capital equipment, 5,000 acres and decades of experience. It is not something a TV presenter can do.

I wonder, how muck Clarkson could learn from American farmers like Welker Farms? Granted season 2 has yet to air but, season1 has shown that his implements are too small with this tractor is the right size. That said, season 1 has shown more of the real life of farmers that most TV has ever been willing to show. I'd like to see him and Kaleb truly succeed in this venture and see Britain profit because of their and the other British farmers because, at the end of the day they are the ones who keep people alive.

Noooooo. You don't see Jeremy off-camera. I mean the REAL Jeremy. He's a Yorkshireman, and NOBODY tells a Yorkshireman what to do or how to do it. Stubborn? Opinionated? Aye, lad, and bloody proud of it! The filming makes him look like a lovely cuddly, witty, approachable guy, but I think you'll find that he operates pretty much like Trump, only with the added threat of a lot more physical violence if you cross him. Telling Clarkson off-camera that he needed a fleet of lorries would have got Kaleb a smack in the mouth and the chance to find a new f*cking job (after he'd picked up his teeth).
