Well that’s perfectly fitting since they faked it the first time, they would have an actor fake it the second time...
Damn I loved this movie! I don't think anyone else other than Ryan Gosling could have pulled it off!

I see a lot of people were duped into watching a blatant anti American protest at the end when the progressive leftist globalist who directed this movie decided to give a blatant anti American finger to the U.S. by not showing the planting of the American flag on the moon. Artsy leftist sjws should not be allowed to make movies like this, they tend to retcon history especially when it concerns an American event or major U.S. participation, and feign innocence when they are called out on it. This Hollywood hack gives lip service that this was an American mission by bombarding the audience with all this imagery throughout the movie then at crucial moment shows his true anti American feelings at the end by not showing a critical moment of history. Not first a movie was ruined by one crappy scene.

...¶...Matthew said, "Lord, even if I will not be able to see it, let me know it!" The Lord said, "Everyone who has known himself has seen it in everything given to him to do, [...] and has come to [...] it in his goodness." Judas responded, saying, "Tell me, Lord, how it is that [...] which shakes the earth moves." The Lord picked up a stone and held it in his hand, saying "What am I holding in my hand?" He said, "It is a stone." He said to them, "That which supports the earth is that which supports the heaven. When a Word comes forth from the Greatness, it will come on what supports the heaven and the earth. For the earth does not move. Were it to move, it would fall. But it neither moves nor falls, in order that the First Word might not fail."...www.bibliotecapleyades.net/nag_hammadi/dialog.htm - need I say more?

I really loved this movie. I’m a pretty big Apollo nerd and I really appreciated the attention to detail. I think a lot of people go invest expecting a more broad experience like Apollo 13 but this movie is more intimate and I dig it. The Gemini 8 had me riveted even though I knew all about what happened and the Apollo 11 scenes are just beautiful, the music, the feel... when Neil throws his daughter’s bracelet in the crater I felt like I was right there with him.

I truly want to see this film, however, as Mr. Armstrong was such an intensely private individual, I will wait until the Blu Ray comes out and watch it in private. This movie honors the over 500,000 incredibly talented individuals who contributed to the accomplishment of a near impossible mission, and honored President Kennedy's commitment, and made that commitment, a reality. That dedication, by the way, caused many a divorce - it required complete dedication to the mission. I think too that that this movie would be dedicated (Were Mr. Armstrong still alive), to Virgil I "Gus" Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee who perished in the plugs out pad fire of Apollo 1 at 1831 hours, Florida time. - a day NONE of us will ever forget. And to the teams in the Houston Mission Control Center (MCC). Spaceflight will never tolerate carelessness, incapacity, and neglect. Grissom, White and Chafee did not die in vain. And finally, no one should ever forget the dedication, sacrifice and work done at Edwards AFB on the X programs and that of the Air Force Systems Command (AFSC) personnel and their families. Flight test is never without risk, and sometimes the ultimate sacrifice is paid by the pilot and their families.

Or do you think he's a good actor after all.

+D Lol D, if you can point me to a clip of where he is playing, but essentially all the piano scenes they are hiding his hands and the keyboard. The only time you do that is when the actor can't really play the instrument. I'm a full-time musician & piano player.

I liked the documentary on Armstrong and the moon landing more than the film, Something about the way Gosling played the part irked me and the sound track was too exaggerated with it's strange background like tin sheets scraping together, didn't seem natural and the blast off scenes, too much shaking In comparison, I think "The right Stuff" and Apollo 13 were great Movies

It's a shame the movie bombed at the box office. When people found out they chose not to show the American flag being planted because some might find it offensive, it's fate was sealed this side of the ocean. Maybe it will do better overseas.

I was in fight test for the government on very classified programs, and have met the best of the best test pilots (one of our guys (a fellow"Baja Scorpion") went on to fly the STS (shuttle)). They are all business when it came to flight test and the job, but all had great personalities and a sense of humor. They would let loose at Sams Club (the officers club) not get obnoxious in any way, but just "loose" if that makes sense - Much closer to the way they were depicted in "The Right Stuff" when they were at the Happy Bottom Riding Club, at Muroc (Which became Edwards AFB). These guys were NOT two dimensional cardboard people, they were and are actual human beings, and it was an honor to know all of them, whether they were Lockheed, Northrop or USAF. I will say one thing for sure, every single test pilot I have known has "the right stuff". Anyone who has been in flight test or space flight knows what that is.

And the “more shaking” is typical, incredibly annoying Hollywood bullshit. Other than during the short period of trans-sonic flight (Mach 0.9 to 1.1), the X-25 was a smooth ride. Incredibly smooth during release (prior to engine start), at high altitude and after engine cut-off. Other than on the launch pad & the first 30 seconds of flight, the Apollo launch was smooth (and with low sound levels) as well. The sound & vibration on the launch pad is reflected off of the ground. As the rocket climbed, these levels dropped very quickly. Once the rocket exceeded Mach 1, it was outracing the atmospheric shear of the rocket exhaust, which is the source of the vast majority of a rockets noise. The astronauts couldn’t hear it. And rocket use in space is VERY smooth & nearly silent. For a REAL video of the astronauts experience during launch, see this video: de-vid.com/video/video-fr_hXLDLc38.html It is a modern launch of a Soyuz rocket, which was designed in the 1960s. The sources & magnitudes of noise & vibration are no different in this video than they were back in the ‘60s. Hollywood lies about nearly everything. For “dramatic effect”, of course...
