If its a weld on, just go to a steel yard and buy a piece of hardened steel like I did here.
w2dmw Vor 2 Tage
Andy, what I did a couple of times was, I used an 8" steel and bolted it on in the center so I could reverse it when one side got dull . I used 1/2" hardened carriage bolts. Worked out fine , and was a snap to replace after that.........just saying.....

What would you ever do with a NEW piece of equipment? I bet you’d trade it for two pieces of USED equipment! You are a BOSS, Andrew!

A lot of folks don’t realize how intelligent you are to fix, build and work with older equipment at a relatively young age. You do good work. Intelligence.

So weird to see these vids, when you repair Andrew, just one guy move all the parts,i work in an quarry, driving 30/40/60tons diggers, when we repair something, need another digger to lift,or pull the part, heavy chais, ropes we using, yor plants like model machines for me.. ): Smallest spanner is 50mm for hidraulic hoses,if the big girl bust an hoses, till is revving down, and put the bucket to the ground, losing an barrel of oil, refill it from straight an new barrel, lifted above tank, with another digger. ): Oli change is same,40-60L of engine oli per engine. But the other side is,i put 2.5 bucket of stone with the 60 tonner to the 4 axle tipper lorry, that is 20 tons load,3.5-4 bucket to the artic lorry, wich is 30 tons of load. (: I like your videos Andrew, you are similar like me,i always want same my own business like your, just never have enough money yet to start it,but i never give up,one day i will work for myself, stop working for someones elses comfort and luxury. Wish the best of luck for you Andrew!

Nice job with the repair. Two things, consider putting some hard facing on the new blade, the sides and the bottom. You are correct about heat warping the metal. Solution is to alternate ends and between the tack welds you made instead of one long end to end run.

Andrew, try to take care of your back bud. You only get 1 body. Blowing out a disk is permanent, trust me. You're young and gun-ho, but your body will try to destroy itself over time

When you do your repairs, get prices for said repair so you can show how much you saved by doing them yourself. $40 just to cut that piece of metal, WoW! Keep up the good work and be safe.
