The Disney movie, “Aladdin” is full of colorful, funny characters singing catchy songs as they fly around on a magic carpet. It’s a high-flying tale of romance, magic, and adventure. But what’s the real story behind this classic folktale?
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Disney’s remake of the animated story of “Aladdin.” But will Disney learn from the mistakes that they made in the past? This story has been around for centuries. But you will be astonished to learn how the story was created in the first place. It seems “Aladdin,” and all of the “Arabian Nights,” or “One Thousand and One Nights,” folktales were told as a desperate attempt to save the author’s life. We were able to uncover some pretty messed up facts about the real story of “Aladdin.” You’re not going to believe racist song lyrics Disney was forced to change after the animated film’s release.

All Disney does is cultural appropriation and use stereotypes in a demeaning and racist way. It teaches children hate at an early age and ruins their childhoods without them knowing it. Disney must go.

Well if Aladdin's character would have been based in true ones they should have lived thousands of centuries ago, since that Aladdin is not normal fact one of the tales included in the Millenary book "Arabian Nights" but with the exception that this tale was Chinese adapted later in a kind of interpolation to the Canon of the Arabian version. In fact if Aladdin would have existed he shoulded to be Chinese and according the ancient character of this book have lived thousands of years ago and Jasmine too, so all this sounds a little incredible.

First off the person doing the video got it wrong. You made it sound like Aladdin was based off of that girl who kept telling stories to the king to keep yourself alive... It wasn't. Aladdin was part of the 1001 nights...... and apparently Shahrazad didn't even tell that story either because you said Aladdin wasn't put into that book until later on .....by some guy. So your reasoning for bringing her up was void. She had nothing to do with Aladdin.

Scheherazade was an older sister to duñazad and a slave in the palace of the king. He noticed her sister ine day and forced duñazad to wed him but scheherazade did not allow this and wed him herself. Knowing how he killed his wives after their wedding night once he was done with them she came up with a plan to save not only herself but her sister she proceeded to tell him story after story with twists and turns to keep him interested enough to not kill her and go after her sister. After a while he become accustomed to scheherazade and slowly let go of his fear of women and they fell in love and lived happily ever after. The story of the Arabian nights is a bunch of folk tales put together that were said from word of mouth. All the stories has Arab, Persian and Chinese roots. The stories have a little bit of each in each story.

The 1001 nights tales are mostly based on india or persia (iran) but back in that time because Arabs have concurred Iran and other parts of middle east so the Arabic language was used more commonly to write so that more people could use the books in the Islamic countries in middle east ....and most of the names from Shahrazad stories are Persian names or some Arabic names that were and still are common in the whole middle east region which also includes Persia so it mostly goes back to Persia aka Iran and if you read the original stories from the names and stuff you can easily tell

Pazzaria Productions
Here's what I have to say about the racist remarks in this video.... First off, my company, Pazzaria Productions is EXTREMELY tolerant of race, religion, etc... and would NEVER, EVER KNOWINGLY do ANYTHING racist in ANY of our content! With that being said, I question the change of the whole cutting of the ear off and being barbaric change in that particular lyric. Why do I say this. Okay. I can see that organization's point about being racist. However, when I originally heard that in the theatre, I AM SO SORRY, BUT RACISM IS NOT THE FIRST THING THAT CAME TO MY MIND!!! I just took it as Disney setting the tone for the story. I DIDN'T BLOODY DISSECT IT! IT'S A FANTASY! I also DO NOT believe that the main characters having, mostly American accents, while the supporting characters do not, TO BE RACIST! I don't believe AT ALL, that Disney said, "Okay! Let's be racist here!" NO! I believe that if the main characters did have accents, THEY WOULD BE MUCH HARDER TO UNDERSTAND! If you want an accent, see the film IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE! Disney translates their films into different languages for each respective country that it is shipped out to. In terms of how barbaric this culture was, or wasn't during the time period that the film was placed in, that is for the historians to decide. That's my story, and I am STICKING TO IT! :-D

I think it's because Arab just like Hispanic is a ethnoligustic group that covers a very large geographic area. The Arab language transverses Africa,Europe, and Asia. Where as Persian liguistic groups are entirely in Asia. I've always found it stupid and idiotic that people think Arabs are a race like wise with Hispanics. Since each group is racially diverse just speak a common language. I never hear people talk about anglophones aka English speakers. Besides in Cameroon where anglophones and franphones are in a civil war.

No..it is not..Alladin is an Arabic name which means one who has faith in Allah..The story Aladin has been taken from Alif Laila(in modern day terminology it is called'101 Arabian Nights'..These all stories are local Arabic stories which passed from one generation to another generation verbally and later was compiled in a book named Alif Laila .
Pablo Sepúlveda Guerrero
In Spanish the translation keeps the original lyric: "y si ahí caes mal, te van a mutilar, ¡qué barbarie! pero es mi hogar" that is pretty much accurate to the original one than the corrected one in English. Maybe was kept because Latinamerica doesn't feel racism to Middle East culture. In fact, Middle East has an intense influence that remains until today. For example, in Chile we say "ojalá" when you want to say "I hope so" and "ojalá" ethymology is in classic arabic that means "If God wants" (Quiera Dios). That words is used in other hispanic countries. So, I think that the real big problem of racism is inside of US and it's hard to understand why. I mean, we are all human beings after all, don't we?

Arabian nights 😏😂 the first time i heared this is when i entered western media (DE-vid) at 2012 ... "one thausand & one nights" was writen in Persian scrifts and from classical Persia dating 400-550 ad, Sasanian dynasti & found in Iraq (Ctesephon and tigris), which was mainland Persia (the capital) back then, the arab caliphs looted Persia, including this amazing book series. just brainless arabs who have no imagination and talent to tell tails clame this series as arabic series. the writers, the clouthings, the human features, the culture described in the whole series are typicaly Khuraswan or Perso-Indian ,the names, the places they visit, the kings and queens and everything else. the name al-adin is the arabizes name "Adin" in persian, "Yasmin" is also a female persian name, you dont even need to investigate, ots all clear that it should't be called "Arabian nights" just like they clame "persian gulf" or "persian arcitecture" to "Islamic arcitecture" or the "persian scientists" to arab scientists, shamshir to arabian sword, man the list goes on for weeks if i will tell you all ,arabs would be lost in the history if they did not conquered Persia. ...some people, sometime in the past 1400 years, raised arms, they came from arabian deserts, where they had no trees, no castles, no kings and queens, no heroes, no culture, no blacksmiths no poets, no libraries, no horses and no god... just became something completely different in less than 30 years, savagely looted a unstablized mighty empire in the east and another in the north... right after that, they became all that?

Scheherazade was a beautiful, well-read and intelligent young woman who was a gifted storyteller, weaving stories with spiritual and moral lessons for her listeners. Following her marriage to the king, on their wedding night, she captivated him with a story that went on late into the night, causing the king to allow her a stay of execution in order to finish her story the following evening. The clever Scheherazade continued to weave ever more fantastic and adventure-filled stories, each night leaving the king on tenter-hooks to discover what happened next. Her powerful storytelling thus continued every night, until the king eventually let go of his fear of women, fell in love with the beautiful Scheherazade … and they both lived happily ever after

In his book Aladdin, the Magic Lamp and other stories, John Biden gave details of Jalan's meeting with the man named by Hanna. Two Arabic manuscripts containing the story of Aladdin (with two other extraneous tales) were discovered at the French National Library. One is written by a Syrian priest living in Paris named Dionysius Shawish and nicknamed Dom Denis Chávez. And another copy copied by Michael Sabbagh from another copy written in Baghdad in 1703, and was purchased by the National Library at the end of the nineteenth century. But some contemporary scholars such as Mohsen Mahdi [2] and Hussein al-Hadawi [3] claim that both manuscripts are false. Although Aladdin's story is a Middle Eastern tale, its events are in China and Aladdin is explicitly referred to as Chinese. [4] But most of the storytellers are Muslim, and there is a Jewish merchant who buys Aladdin goods (and then deceives him), but there is no reference to Buddhists or Confucians who are followers of the dominant religions in China. All the inhabitants of the city have Arabic names and their king appears to be a Muslim ruler rather than a Chinese emperor. So some believe that this refers to the events of the story in Turkestan (includes Central Asia and the modern Chinese province of Xinjiang)

1:18 I think this is mischaracterising it too. It's not that she had a little trick up her sleeve - as if she wasn't deathly afraid. It was a last ditch attempt at saving her life with the one thing she was great at and made her unique in some way. But she surely still feared it wouldn't work. Having a trick up your sleeve sounds as if she's so confident it will work, but the situation was much more horrible for her.

it's impossible to appease those people, give a finger, they take a hand or arm... personal experiences... and I see it everywhere to... and here we have another example, and then we need to learn to be kinder, lmao btw, the real life movie had it's share of commotion, long before it's release date. I'dd say: judge AFTER you've seen the movie, NOT BEFORE. And who knows they fix things, a lot can be done with effects, etc. But actors (cause that is whats it's about) is Disney's fucking choise, and if you don't like it, don't watch it. But keep your lame judgement of a movie you didn't see, heck, a movie that hasn't been released yet for yourself !! On a brighter, positive note !!
