Just seeing the expressions on each person's face at the very start is comedy... the skit begins right away. On the replay I truly appreciated all the nuance these guys created. For instance, everyone having a certain vibe, or feeling toward what they are hearing, in conjunction with our own opinions and energies forming from the verse we are hearing as well, so it feels like we're part of the session. I think it was great how they had 3 different angles at play portrayed from the guys, and it was sublimely balanced, which is critical... the obviously upset artist, his producer feeling disappointed as well but needing to be grown up, and the sunny side up, philosopher sometimes oblivious homie. The low key sauce that makes it work for me is the one in the back lol! Like he know it's not that great, but he's giving Em the benefit of the doubt, and is really trying to listen to the verse, all thinking chin position and eyes squinted trying to catch what's being spit! He is also the one being optimistic and also trying to diffuse his friends tensions with his earnest statements of facts. But the kicker for is at the close, when he's like, oh snap he scammed us? And the other 2 are in one place having an understanding like seee what I tell you.. I know man it blows.. And then the third guy is completely someplace else like... ahh well played it is Shady records hmmm And then the sudden turn from his friend with the, really? You're too much look, at the 3rd guy. Everyone did stellar but I think without the 3rd guy it wouldn't be as dynamically humorous. And not even the actor, but the idea of the character also. It goes to show you how well thought out and polished this skit is. Also wanted acknowledge the comedy within the comedy of the front 2 guys and how they were bouncing back and forth. That's another cool wrinkle, is amongst a circle of friends you have the individual mutual relationships, and who is present in the group at the time of a moment, and how each person is with another during the happening.
